DDA – lab drainage and retention meter

Optimal drainage and retention are central issues when it comes to paper production. The right amount of additive at the right time raises both quality and productivity. The Dynamic Drainage Analyzer (DDA) is a more advanced design of the common drainage testers, developed to give an accurate simulation of the conditions on a modern paper machine.

DDA advantages:

- Vacuum drainage
- Controls shear
- Automatically adds additives

A PC controls the whole analysis and calculates drainage time and permeability. A DDA can be used to measure retention, formation and dry substance simultaneously.

The DDA was introduced in 1992 and so far about 80 units have been sold. Eurocon has a license with AB Akribi Kemikonsulter to sell DDA on the European market.
