Eurocon has won a contract from Holmen Paper AB, Hallsta paper mill in Hallstavik Sweden

Eurocon has been trusted by Holmen to provide engineering expertise regarding design and construction in the areas of process, mechanical, piping, electrical and automation and ventilation; for the Hallsta project "Secure of steam supply and new sludge dewatering." The project will run during 2012 and early 2013. About 8 to14 people from Eurocon will be involved during that period.

Eurocon has gained confidence by SCA Ortviken paper mill and Statkraft AB/SCA Vind AB

Eurocon has been trusted by SCA Ortviken Paper Mill to provide engineering expertise regarding design and construction in the fields of mechanical, piping, electrical and automation projects for "bright future". The mission will last most of 2012 and engage about 4-7 people during that time.
Eurocon has also been entrusted by Statkraft AB and SCA Vind AB to participate in the preliminary design of two wind farms as well as provide technical expertise in the ongoing implementation project. Assignments will last for 2012 and future years and involves about 2-4 people during their mission.

Continued trust in Eurocon

 Zellstoff Stendal GmbH shows continued trust in Eurocon’s capabilities and awarded them with the detailing of their feasibility for the project cooking plant improvement and expansion.

Eurocon has conducted a feasibility study for seasonality and capacity projects in digester plant in 2010 and is now asked to go into further details on this subject. Goal of the project is to increase production of the mill by eliminating verified bottle necks from todays 620,000ADT/a to 700,000ADT/a. Eurocon’s vast experience on the process should lead to economical solution in the area of the cooking plant.

The order from Zellstoff Stendal GmbH is the first order for the newly established business of Eurocon in Germany working together with the Swedish process specialists and well proven partners.

Total estimated investment volume for the project is app. 40 Mill EUR.

Eurocon has been awarded a contract by Holmen, Iggesund Paperboard AB, for Iggesunds Bruk to perform electrical and instrumental engineering for the investment of the new recovery boiler SP5

Eurocon har fått förtroendet att utföra el- och instrumentprojektering för Iggesunds Bruk. Investeringen omfattar ny sodapanna, ny turbin, ny driftcentral, svaggassystem samt anslutande arbeten för alla delprojekt. Uppdraget som innefattar projektarbete för 6-8 personer under två och ett halvt år kommer att starta omgående, och beräknas vara avslutat under första halvåret 2013. Eurocon receives orders from Zellstoff Stendal, Germany and Altri Celtejo, Portugal

Eurocon has been awarded a capacity increase and de-bottlenecking study for Zellstoff Stendal, Germany. The purpose of the study is to identify the possibilities for increased pulp and energy production. Eurocon has also been awarded a recovery boiler de-bottlenecking study for Altri Celtejo, Portugal. The purpose of the study is to identify the possibilities for increased combustion capacity in the recovery boiler. The estimated total value of the two projects amounts to EUR 200.000. Eurocon receives new order from Stora Enso Pulp, Skutskär

Eurocon has received the order to carry out the electrical and instrumentation planning for the modernization of line 1 at Stora Enso Pulp Skutskär, (Project Fibre line 2011). The project includes work for three to five people with planned start-up after the fall shutdown 2009. Our own project tool SiteBase® is utilized for this project.

Eurocon establishes new branch in Kiruna

1st May, 2009 Eurocon opened a new branch in Kiruna: Eurocon North AB. The main focus areas are the mining and steel industries but also energy and infrastructure. The office will be staffed with five qualified employees with long experience in project management and automation. The Kiruna office will have access to the full range of competence and products within the Eurocon group. We are convinced that the new Kiruna branch will help expand Eurocon’s business in other areas.

Eurocon signs agreement with Holmen Timber regarding technical services for Braviken’s saw mill project

Holmen Timber to build the largest saw mill in Scandinavia at Braviken Paper mill in Norrköping. Construction to start in 2009 with a planned startup in 2010/2011.

Eurocon’s responsibility is mainly services in regards to planning, purchasing and startup in addition to project management for power distribution, process automation, lighting and industrial IT.

This project will be delivered mainly by resources at the Eurocon offices in Örnsköldsvik and Sundsvall. The project will employ four to six engineers during 2009, 2010 and early 2011.
