As a part of Mitthögskolan’s venture The forest as a resource, a unique scientific research area has been developed: process intelligence.

In this research traditional science and process knowledge are brought together to develop new models and tools that will make it easier for the process industry to collect the right data and obtain an overview of the processes.

The starting point for each problem solution is an overview of the process. It incorporates areas such as mathematics, physics, process control and chemistry. The knowledge in statistics, dynamic and static modelling and process controls are applied. Eurocon is participating in NPI, as a sponsor and with practical participation.
